It’s Official: I’m On Hiatus

April 27, 2015 by Marsha S.

Flashback to the last time I traveled solo: Pacific Grove, CA. April 2014.

These days, I talk about this blog in the past tense. That makes me sad.

“I used to blog,” I tell the curious. Some are content with that brief response whereas others prod for more.

“My blog was called ‘Wanderlust for One,'” I’d say when they asked. “I wrote about solo travel.”

Except these days, I don’t travel as much as I used to. These days, when I do travel, I rarely do so alone.

My desire to travel has not dimmed, but for the moment, I’m limited by the demands of my professional and personal lives.

So, in the event you hadn’t realized it from the 20-month-old post that haunts the site’s home page, it’s safe to say Wanderlust for One is officially on hiatus.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve hemmed and hawed over whether I should give up travel blogging for good but at the end of the day, I still have that deep desire to travel, take photographs, and write stories about my experiences. I’m slowly taking steps toward creating a life where frequent travel is par for the course, so don’t be surprised to see this blog come back to life someday soon.

Thanks for reading and happy travels,

Marsha

I was so excited to see a new post from you, Marsha! Then I read it and went “Oh….” I hope you never stop blogging permanently. I for one would be very happy to see you post once in awhile again. And I wish you great success in creating that life of frequent travel.
